My Background
I grew up in the Boothbay area, the older of two children. I spent my time reading, riding horses, and exploring the fifty acres which have been in my mother's family for over two hundred years. I received a bachelor's of science degree (BS) from the University of Maine at Farmington with a major in English, a minor in Community Health, and a concentration in Psychology. In 1996 I earned a master's of science degree (MS) in Computer Technology in Education from Thomas College and I have begun taking courses focusing on distance learning.
I have been teaching since 1986 in Maine and since 1989 at WHS in particular; after teaching here at WHS, I could not envision teaching anywhere else. The students at Winslow are wonderful and teaching them is an honor. I love my job!
